Guide to Senerchia

Senerchia lies on the eastern side of the Picentini mountains, in a landscape of streams and mountain ravines. The 1980 earthquake profoundly changed the town. The remains of the old settlement stand beside the rebuilt community and preserve a powerful reminder of its history.

What to see

Explore the village, the historic ruins and viewpoints across the surrounding hills. The principal natural attraction is the Valle della Caccia Oasis, with its stream, woodland and waterfall. Plan your visit around the current access arrangements and path conditions.

A nature itinerary

Senerchia fits into a route linking springs, waterfalls and trails of the Upper Sele Valley with Caposele and Calabritto. Allow for mountain roads and changing conditions when planning travel times.
